The defendant was charged with 10 others for conspiracy to steal from Securicor and Securitas vans which transport several thousands of pounds from banks, ATM machines and various business establishments. The modus operandi was similar and an organised nature whereby the van drivers will be recruited to join in various roles who will be then robbed when they are in duty. Prior to this, several incidents happened and over several millions of pounds stolen and some was recovered between the brick walls in their houses. The money which of some was recovered, matches the serial numbers from previous robberies which occurred 9 years before.

This case relates to an Organised Criminal Gang charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and other serious offences. This concerned a series of commercial robberies against famous bookmakers in East London. They use hammers and “fastgas” canisters to smash the cashier screen before threatening the staff with knives demanding the money from safe.

The defendant was charged with others for 17 counts of conspiracy to transfer, sale of prohibited weapons, transfer prohibited ammunitions, possess firearm to endanger life and without firearm certificate and other offences under the firearms act. The police found several self- loading pistols which had a barrel, Combat Commander self- loading pistol, sub machine guns which was designed or adapted that two or more missiles could be successively discharged without repeated pressure on trigger, long rifle calibre cartridges and bulleted cartridges. It was one of the largest police operation whereby several guns were seized of endangering life of others.
