This investigation concerns a series of cyber- attacks on NHS internet targeting NHS finance staff. The attacks were carried out by way of sending spoof emails and email account comprises to demand NHS funds to be paid to the sender’s accounts. The total attempts and demands stand at approximately in excess of £10 million in respect of those spoof emails and email account compromises.
