If proceedings are issued and you are a parent, child or joined to proceedings, you are eligible for legel aid and this is not means or merits tested. There is an automatic entitlement to public funding.
If you are a grandparent or other family members and are supporting and assisting the family in the proceedings, legal aid may be available for you in some circumstances. We would advise that you contact our team to see if you are eligible.
In private children proceedings before the family court, legal aid is still available for clients on low income or on benefits who have suffered from domestic violence. Please contact us and we can advise you on whether you would be eligible for legal aid.
If you are not eligible for legal aid, please contact us so we can discuss the costs involved and advise on the most cost-effective solution including fixed fees or hourly rate.
Please feel free to contact a member of our team on 02085540012 or 07985419788 (24 hour emergency) who will be glad to assist you.
