Wasif Mahmood
Wasif joined SA Law Chambers in 2008. He is the Head of the debt department and is the Legal Services Commission (LSC) Supervisor.
Wasif qualified as a solicitor in November 2007. He has previously worked at Duncan Lewis and Co. where he had helped to set up the debt department. He had carried out his training contract in west London and Cambridge for Law for All and has maintained a strong commitment to Social Welfare Law for over five years. Wasif is one of only a few specialised Debt Relief Order (DRO) Intermediaries who are accredited by the Insolvency Service and by the Institute of Money Advisors (IMA).
Wasif had undertaken his legal training at BPP Law School. For his Masters he has read International Relations at the School of Oriental and African Studies. His first honours degree was in Politics and Philosophy at Queen Mary University of London
In his spare time, Wasif is a strong advocate of human right work and enjoys reading, travelling and taking part in sports such as Brazilian Jujitsu, football and swimming.
